If you don’t yet have ginger in your health toolbox, it is time to add it now. Ginger is a magical root with many good qualities, and it will help you clean and wake your system up.

Detoxification. Ginger cleans bowels and kidneys from toxins, resulting in better well being and a clearer skin.

Digestion. By increasing production of digestive fluids ginger helps relieve indigestion, gas pains, diarrhea and stomach cramping.

Blood circulation. Ginger stimulates blood circulation and can relieve headaches and other problems caused by bad blood circulation.

Anti-inflammatory properties. Ginger is proved to help people suffering from conditions such as arthritis and rheumatism.

Morning sickness and motion sickness. With no side effects, ginger is a good alternative to traditional medication.

With so many good properties, ginger should be a daily ingredient in our menu. There are many ways to eat ginger, it is widely used in asian cooking, but I prefer drinking ginger tea. It is a delicious and warming drink, perfectly suited to kick-start the day with. You can of course drink it anytime during the day.

Where to find it? Ginger is a root that can be found in most supermarkets and the best thing is that it costs no more then potatoes or carrots.

Lemon, Ginger and Honey Tea

Take a two inch piece of ginger, remove bark. Slice it into several pieces and put them into a cup. Add boiling water, a table spoon of honey and a squeeze of lemon.
